Wine RackArchitecture Design Project
In a fabrication class, I designed a wine rack for the metalworking assignment. The wine rack is made of three parts: a mild steel front piece with a grape leaf pattern, a mild steel back piece, and mild steel rods to hold the two pieces together. The front and back piece were cut out using a water jet. The pieces were then treated with an orbital sander and a small amount of patina to give it a rusty look. Finally, the pieces were welded together with the rods poking through, which were then ground down to be flush with the outer surfaces.
